About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, results oriented, and hands-on Operations Manager who will be heavily involved across a number of projects including; residential communities, retirement / land lease communities, refurbish-to-rent and build-to-rent developments and land development. This role will oversee the operations management of assets in NSW and some other states.
The role includes business planning, working with other head office divisions including asset management, transactions, finance and marketing.
The role will involve managing on site property managers and also external property managers (where applicable).
This role will be working with the Sydney head office team and will provide the opportunity to learn and grow professionally within the broader Aspen Group and working closely with the broader operations and development team nationally, reporting directly to an experienced senior management team based in Sydney. This role is suited to someone who is well organised, results-oriented and able to work independently and provide clear and concise reporting.
About You:
- Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective, engaged & motivated teams
Ability to effectively manage both internal and external staff and consultants.
Graduate of property, law, business/commerce, management an advantage
Experience in property operations or property management an advantage
Proven financial and analytical skills in interpreting budgets and forecasting
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Background in residential or land lease highly valued - Candidates must have Australian work rights to be considered for this position
- Assist with the strategic direction of the assets
- Experience with newbook or similar property management software
- Managing programmed (CAPEX) and reactive maintenance works
Experience in, team recruitment, training, and development
Employment Basis and Remuneration
- Full time role
- Competitive remuneration based on the successful applicants’ experience and skillset but will comprise a base salary plus a generous and meaningful incentive structure including; performance-based bonus structure (short-term incentive) and the opportunity to participate in the Aspen Performance Rights Scheme (long-term incentive).
