Retirement village (DMF)
Under state legislation you purchase the right to reside in a home located in a village.
- You do not own the home
- You will pay exit fees (up to 25% of sale price)
- Not eligible for government subsidies
- Upon passing legal personal representatives and beneficiaries cannot occupy the home or the site.
Land lease communities
The land lease model allows residents to enjoy full ownership of their property while leasing the land through a site agreement. Residents may also qualify for Commonwealth rent assistance (subject to eligibility)
